February 22: Ash Wednesday which marks the beginning of Lent. We continue one of SOV’s traditions of having Soup Suppers at 6:30 PM all Wednesdays in Lent followed by a simple meditational prayer service at 7:30 PM, very contemplative in form, designed to recharge us at midweek. The title of the series is “You Shall Love the Lord Your God…” This prayer series will be a great opportunity to repent of all unfaithfulness and disloyalty, of all barriers and divisions, of all selfishness and jealousy. Let us confess, ask for forgiveness and prepare ourselves for Jesus’ death and resurrection.

March 10:Mission Area Assembly, Trinity Lutheran Church, Chelmsford, MA, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Meeting in preparation for the New England Synod Assembly in June when the synod will elect a new bishop. Help to discern what directions the synod will pursue in leadership and mission.
