SOV really turned out to support our local Habitat build. From Carolyn and the rest of the team at Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts: Thank you all for your wonderful work for the 0.0 race event last week. We raised over $5,496, $5,000 of which was fabulously matched, for a total of $10,496. We had wonderful silent auction items, thanks to you all, and a generous group of attendees.
The congregation council recently decided to enter into a 2-year, renewable covenant relationship with Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts. On October 12 we will have a Habitat Sunday and Curt Logee, president of the board of directors and Ayer resident will join us along with Executive Director Carolyn Reid. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church will be worshiping together with us and afterwards, we will have a potluck lunch! Those who are able can then go down to 12 Newton Street to do some work at the house. Others are welcome to see the progress.
If you’re clearing clutter or closing out a relative’s estate, remember Habitat’s ReStore in Leominster to make donations. For larger furniture, appliances, household tools and even cabinetry, arrangements can be made for a convenient pick-up. Telephone the store at (978) 227-5556. It is located at 637 Lancaster Street (Route 117) and is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.
